“When you’re able to connect with your patients, you get to experience a piece of humanity.” —BRIAN REAGAN, MD

Dr. Reagan’s qualifications are certainly unique. His experience covers the illustrious training grounds of Cornell Medical College, The New York/Presbyterian Hospital; and the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas, considered by many to be the top plastic surgery training program in the country.

“If you learn from the best of the best, it positively affects how you practice medicine,” he says of his 13 years of rigorous training. Dr. Reagan’s achievements are tangible. His research work conducted during his training garnered him the Residence Basic Science Award through the Committee on Trauma from the American College of Surgeons.

He is an author on subjects such as facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty and breast reconstruction. Dr. Reagan‘s practice reflects his commitment to the breadth of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

“Each day I am challenged in different ways. I enjoy the variety and I feel it makes me a better surgeon.”

His peers agree, for recently they selected him as one of the best plastic surgeons in San Diego (October, San Diego magazine). “Other physicians know your work, they see your results and they see how you care for your patients. I am truly honored.”

Community service also plays an important role in Dr. Reagan’s life. He is a board member and surgeon for Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, a nonprofit organization that provides care for children and young adults with congenital and acquired deformities. For his efforts, he recently received a “Health Hero” award from the Combined Health Agencies of San Diego. Fresh Start represents the best of human nature—people coming together to help those in need.

“When you give of yourself in this way, you get so much more in return,” says Dr. Reagan.
