FACELIFT
More than any other procedure, a facelift is very doctor dependant. Ask to see many photos and speak to past patients. I tighten the underlying layer (SMAS), then redrape the skin to achieve natural results. I almost always tighten the neck muscles (platysma). I have never had a patient look too pulled. Beware, many physicians claim they do more extensive work, only to deliver less. Many physicians are offering “minimal surgery” techniques with less down time. This approach may benefit those with limited recovery time, but results vary and may not last as long. Facelift San Diego – Dr. Reagan

Juvederm
Juvederm is a dermal filler used to fill and smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. It is available in modified versions which are useful for adding volume to lift and contour the face. Juvederm is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance in the body that helps maintain skin volume and hydration as well as joint lubrication and cushioning. Hyaluronic acid retains moisture, absorbing more than 1,000 times its weight in water. It also binds with collagen and elastin, transporting essential nutrients to these fibers which make up much of the support structure of the skin. The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm and the other dermal fillers listed here is not derived from animal sources. |

Botox
The signs of aging that respond best to botox injections are those lines and wrinkles caused by the repeated contractions of muscles used during facial expressions, especially those activated when we are frowning or squinting. Therefore, botox is used most commonly for reduction of the appearance of frown lines between the brows, forehead furrows, and lines at the outer edge of the eye, commonly referred to as “crow’s feet”. Botox can also be used for lines and wrinkles of the lower face, and even to decrease nostril flaring, although these practices are controversial due to risk of damaging important facial nerves.
